Process

The admission process is transparent, merit-based, and fully online. Follow four simple steps to secure your seat in Jammu's premier vocational training institute.

Online Registration

Visit the official J&K DTE admission portal. Create your account and fill in the application form with personal and academic details.

STEP 02

Document Submission

Upload scanned copies of Matriculation certificate, category certificate (if applicable), domicile, and recent passport photograph.

STEP 03

Merit List & Allotment

District-wise merit list is published. Candidates are allotted seats based on marks and trade preference order submitted during registration.

August 2025
STEP 04

Reporting & Joining

Allotted students report to the institute with original documents. Fees are deposited and classes commence. Begin your skill transformation journey!

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Passed 10th (Matric) from a recognized board — minimum 35% marks
  • Age: 14–40 years as of the date of admission (relaxation for reserved categories)
  • Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir / UT Ladakh
  • Aadhar Card (mandatory for registration)
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) if applicable
  • Physically fit for the chosen trade (medical clearance may be required)
  • No minimum marks required for COPA and Plumber trades

Candidates must have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) from any recognized state or central board. A minimum of 35% aggregate marks is required for most trades. For COPA and Plumber trades, there is no minimum marks requirement — just passing Matric is sufficient.
Yes. All trades at Government ITI RS Pura are affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The NCVT certificate is recognized across India and is accepted in many Middle Eastern countries (especially the Gulf) and other nations for skilled worker employment, making our graduates highly employable globally.
Being a Government institution, tuition fees are highly subsidized. The annual fee structure is governed by the J&K Directorate of Technical Education and is among the most affordable in the country. Additionally, students from SC/ST/OBC categories may be eligible for full fee waivers and scholarships under various government schemes.
Yes. The institute maintains active industry connections with private firms, PSUs, and government departments. Campus recruitment drives and apprenticeship tie-ups are organized regularly. The entire admission process is conducted online through the official JKDTET portal (jkdtet.org). Students register, fill the application, upload documents, and check merit results online. Physical reporting is required only after allotment, when candidates need to visit the institute with original documents for final verification and fee payment.
